In 2023, The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation and the CHU Dumont Foundation joined forces – and combined their respective cycling event – and launched the NB Ride Against Cancer. Since then, it has raised more than $680,000.

Funds raised during the NB Ride Against Cancer fund Wellspring NB’s non-medical cancer support programs, provided at no cost to individuals living with cancer and their caregivers.

There are three ways to participate :

• Solo cycling (cycling when, where and with whomever you want);
• Dr. Harb’s Elite Cyclist Ride (fast-paced group ride around the province); and
• Ride Day (September 26, 2026 on the Riverfront Trail).

Registration will open in late April and participants can sign up and fundraise until December 31st.

The 2026 Ride Day will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Participants will register to cycle a designated 10 km, 30 km or 70 km route on the Riverfront Trail system spanning the communities of Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview.
